More Info

Adults are becoming more aware of health issues because self-education has become more prevalent. Some of these issues are the deficiencies people are experiencing due to poor eating habits and also the recommended food consumed may not have the amount of vitamins and mineral needed for daily allowance. This is where supplementation comes into play. A complete balance of many vitamins, minerals and herbs can be quite helpful in the search for optimum health.

Vitamins

Vitamin deficiencies are an all too common problem people face and don’t know it has occurred until the symptoms start to appear.

Vitamin A has been called the “anti-infective vitamin.” It has been shown that a higher rate of infection has been attributed to deficiencies in Vitamin A. This vitamin has also shown promise in the effects to boost immunity, fight skin disorders including aging of the skin, and speeds wound healing.

Vitamin B1 is a vitamin that most adults seem to be deficient in. This vitamin is responsible for the conversion of blood sugar into biological energy. It also plays a role in metabolic reactions in nerve tissue, heart, maintaining muscle and in the formation of red blood cells.

Vitamin B2 is important in the protection against free-radical damage.

Vitamin B6 has been studied for its effects on boosting the immune system, relieving symptoms of premenstrual tension, protecting against metabolic imbalances.

Vitamin B12 helps protect against mental deterioration, allergens and toxins, essential for vegetarian diets.

Vitamin C is the first recorded study in medical history. It has been studied for its remarkable abilities in supporting the immune system, helping maintain healthy levels of cholesterol, helping against chronic illness and counteracting lung ailments.

Vitamin D is the only vitamin in biological form which is a hormone. It has been shown to help maintain good bone health, enhance immunity, and help protect against disease.

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant. It helps guard the body from neurological disorders, cardiovascular disease, pollution and toxins.

PABA (Para-Amino benzoic Acid) is a basic nutrient of folic acid that helps in the breakdown of protein and the formation of red blood cells and along with Biotin; which are both nutrients for the hair and skin.

Minerals

Minerals play a large role in optimum health. Even though minerals have very different properties, they also have similarities. Most of the minerals to be mentioned all have shown great progress in the maintenance of cardiovascular disease and blood pressure regulation. Their differences however are quite astounding.

Pantothenic Acid heightens athletic ability, wound healing, and immunity.

Calcium can help prevent cancer, helps prevent arthritis, and is beneficial in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.

Chromium has shown to help regulate blood sugar.

Copper has been used for its anti-inflammatory ability for muscle and joint pain.

Iron has the reputation of aiding and preventing iron-deficiency anemia.

Magnesium helps protect against kidney stones and gallstones, neuromuscular and nervous disorders. Manganese boasts the ability to maintain proper brain effectiveness, treatment for some mental disorders, and some nervous disorders.

Potassium claims the ability to protect against heart related illnesses, and helpful in the treatment and prevention of certain types of chronic ailments.

Selenium has been studied for capability of detoxifying heavy metals, various drugs, alcohol, cigarette smoke, and peroxidized fats.

Zinc has been shown to play a role in elevating immunity, preventing age onset blindness, and it is needed for the proper function of taste, smell and vision.

Ionic Minerals are capable of generating and conducting the electrical impulses so vital to every function of the human body including better absorption and assimilation to help maintain optimal health.

Electrolytes to help boost stamina, energy, endurance and overall better performance abilities.

Herbs and other Ingredients

Herbs, seaweed, pollen and oils have been studied for proper health and physiological balance for centuries. Like the minerals, all of these have many similar properties, too. The differences are as follows:

Octacosanol has been studied for maintaining healthy cholesterol levels. It also may increase physical endurance.

Inositol is in its own category. It is a naturally occurring nutrient found in various forms, the most common being myo-inositol. Inositol is found in phospholipids which function as cellular mediators of signal transduction, in metabolic regulation, and growth. It is required for the proper formation of cell membranes, in turn has received high ratings for its involvement with anxiety and depression. Inositol helps to maintain proper electrical energy and nutrient transfer across the cell membrane. It also acts as a Lipothropic which converts fats into other useful products. Inositol helps establish healthy cell membranes, which facilitate nerve impulses.

Kelp is seaweed that is very rich in B vitamins, but its main objective has been seen in the therapy involving thyroid issues.

Dong Quai, Cramp Bark and Black Cohosh have shown promise for female difficulties. Their main purpose is to target premenstrual syndrome and the symptoms associated with menopause including hot flashes and night sweats.

Uva Ursi acts as a diuretic and strengthens heart tissue. It also helps with disorders of all major organs of the body.

Dandelion contains chemicals that stimulate bile, which in turn may help in disorders of the liver and gallbladder.

Garlic and Echinacea may both boost immunity; however, Garlic has been shown to help prevent blood clots and maintain normal healthy cholesterol levels, where Echinacea stimulates the production of infection-fighting cells.

Damiana and Gotu Kola have similar properties. They both have shown ability to help curb depression, anxiety, and fatigue, which are concerns in the decline of sexual desire.

Valerian has shown promise for centuries in the all too common problem of insomnia. It relaxes tense muscles and nerves without the grogginess of other remedies.

Ginger has been demonstrated to help settle the stomach and relieve motion sickness.

Ginkgo Biloba has been clinically studied for its effects on improving blood circulation for cardiovascular disease and brain activity including cognitive function and memory.

Ginseng has been shown to improve energy levels, but it also enhances immune function, lung function, and battles stress.

Licorice, although heightens the effects of the other herbs, has its own properties of showing anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic actions. It also has been noticed for an estrogen-like effect therefore helping regulate hormone activity during menopause.

Cayenne was noted for it being a powerful stimulant where a sensation is created to signal the bran to release endorphins, which is a substance that blocks pain. It may also relieve gas, nausea, and indigestion.

Silica Horsetail contains the highest content of silicon in the entire plant empire, and no other herb comes even near to the silica levels found in the plant. Silica is an important trace element for the body; it helps in binding protein molecules together in tissues such as the blood vessels and other connective tissues in the human body. Collagen, an important constituent of the tissues is largely made from silicon. The role of the collagen in the body is to act as the "body glue", enabling the skin and muscular tissues to stick together as an integrated whole. The growth and stability of the skeletal system in the body is also promoted by the mineral silicon - the mineral is required in trace amounts in the diet.
