Native to the Americas
Stevia is a South American herb used as a natural sweetener for centuries and is a genus of about 240 species of herbs and shrubs in the sunflower family (Asteraceae), native to subtropical and tropical regions from western North America to South America. Stevia is widely grown for its sweet leaves. As a sweetener and sugar substitute, stevia's taste has a slower onset and longer duration than that of sugar.*

With its steviol glycoside extracts having up to 300 times the sweetness of sugar; stevia has garnered attention with the rise in demand for low-carbohydrate, low-sugar food alternatives. Because stevia has a negligible effect on blood glucose, it is attractive as a natural sweetener to people on carbohydrate-controlled diets.*

Cocoa Beans, also known as cacao beans, first appeared in the Amazon basin, and grow only in moist, warm and shady climates. Cocoa beans are primarily grown in Mexico, Central and South America. Cocoa beans are produces by the plant Theobroma cacao, which translated, means “food of the Gods”. That is a good name for them, given the numerous health benefits provided by them including being a high antioxidant, antidepressant, and known to have over 300 healthful compounds including many polyphenols, flavonoids, theobromine and phenylethylamine.
